EffectCraft (ArtCraft) pricing

Clones Adobe After Effects. Alpha (v0.16.0). Church use: Lower thirds, animated titles, countdowns; Lottie export. Official downloads ONLY from github.com/storytold/<app>/releases or getartcraft.com; fake look-alike download sites have been reported, so verify the URL. Legal: clean-room reimplementation is generally lawful, but trade-dress/ToS/patent questions vs Adobe/Microsoft/Autodesk/Avid are untested (ask your lawyer before relying on it for ministry work). Alpha software: keep backups and test file round-trips.

Best for: Lower thirds, animated titles, countdowns; Lottie export

Pros: Free, no subscription; In one tested lower-third/kinetic-text/logo-reveal comparison judged close to After Effects

Cons: Alpha; no .aep import yet (issue #190); a distracting bounce noted in one test; 867 open issues; Legal/trade-dress uncertainty; Fake download sites
